WP_20160824_13_58_52_Pro“The volunteers at the foodbank were so lovely, they listened to me and made me feel human again. It was the first place I didn’t feel judged.”

We know that crisis can strike anyone and we also understand how difficult it can be to think about coming to a foodbank  We are sorry that at the moment we cannot invite you in for a cup of tea and a chat, this is partly due to limited space but also the need to maintain a level of social distancing. But  our foodbank volunteers will continue to welcome everyone who comes to the foodbank with compassion, and kindness.

Meeting your needs

Your foodbank voucher will be exchanged for three days of emergency food. We want to make sure that we give you the right food to meet your needs, so you will be greeted by a volunteer who will make a note of your specific requirements eg special dietary requirements or allergies, for example, gluten free, halal or vegetarian.

Preparing your food

Your food parcel will be packed into supermarket carrier bags. If you can bring your own carrier bags, or trolleys it would be helpful, as we now have to buy bags.
